Join us for an evening of constructive dialogue and planning which will provide the South Asian community the opportunity and the means to address four key issues affecting the community as a whole: Housing, Employment, Education and Health. The evening will serve as a platform from which to launch local poverty reduction campaigns within the Greater Toronto Area’s South Asian community.

‘Working Together to Alleviate Poverty’

CASSA has formulated a poverty reduction campaign and will work in partnership with local South Asian organizations in order to implement and run the campaigns. Organizations are free to take a lead on the campaign or to design their own campaigns in conjunction with the poverty reduction strategy and the prioritized areas designated by the South Asian community in previous community consultations.

CASSA and its community partners (Human Endeavour, Punjabi Community Health Centre, Old Age Benefits Forum, Social Services Network, South Asian Family Support Services, South Asian Women’s Rights Organisation, South Asian Women’s Centre and the Tamil Seniors Centre) are pleased to invite you to a community action meeting to be held on July 14th, 2008.
