The session is presented through the Northumberland Poverty Reduction Action Committee and its partners.

Gina Browne, the founder and director of System-Linked Research Unit (SLRU) on Health and Social Service Utilization, which focuses on improving low-income people’s situations through better co-ordination of health and social services, will spend about 90 minutes talking and walking with members of the audience.

“She likes to get everyone engaged in her interactive presentations,” committee member Lynda Kay told Northumberland County councillors Wednesday.

The event starts 9:30 a. m. on Feb. 12 in Victoria Hall’s Concert Hall and will focus on examples of best practices across Canada, Ms. Kay said.

Dr. Browne will tour the county to see what Northumberland is doing. This county already has a reputation for being leaders, she added.

Limited seating is available and people are asked to RSVP by calling 905-372-6846 ext 2424.
